Founded in 2009, our vineyards are located in Saint Patrice, within the white wine AOC area of Bourgueil and Touraine. The 6 hectares of vines (5 hectares of Cabernet Franc, 1 hectare of Chenin) are spread over a sandy, stony soil region near the Loire River. This area has the particularity of including both the clay-limestone soil type on the limestone subsoil at the bottom of the hillside and the clay- flint soil type on the slopes directly situated on a geological fracture where limestone is absent.
The vineyard is currently in its third year of conversion to gain its organic label, and since 2011 we have been using a biodynamic preparation to “reactivate” the soil and connect the land with its natural forces. The wine production, only natural yeasts are used, without thermo-regulation and without using any oenological techniques which could modify the wine’s identity.
Our objective is to incorporate a sense of origin into our wine, through its soil, its exposure, its environment and by our care and attention throughout the year.
